Following on from our successful RAF talk on Treetops where 3 of our residents who were all in the RAF for either their national service or as their career, we visited the Norwich Aviation Museum, this was to be a visit for these 3 but unfortunately due to the sad loss since the talk of one we took just the two with their spouse and friend and went in memory of our lost friend.
We looked around the many displays with the gentlemen reminiscing about the things they saw.
We looked at all the aircraft out in the field but could not unfortunately go inside of them, we stopped half way round for refreshments as there was lots of walking.

🌟🎶 A Joyful Afternoon at Brooklands Care Home! 🎶🌟

Hey everyone! We had a fantastic time today with a special performance of "Mothers Know Best" by NorthEast Productions. The amazing ladies from the group put on such an engaging show, getting our residents involved and making everyone laugh and smile.

Due to works for our new bistro downstairs, the performance took place in our Treetops Lounge, and our residents really enjoyed this different setup. The room was filled with good vibes and lots of laughter. It was a truly wonderful experience for all!

A big thank you to NorthEast Productions for bringing so much joy to Brooklands Care Home. We can't wait for more fun events like this!

This morning up on Treetops we explored a Sensory Box, the box which I made up at home had everything for the senses, we had bottle shakers and wind chimes for hearing, marshmallows and cheesy wotsits for taste, pine cones ,giant pompom , bath sponge and bubble wrap for touch, a solar bird for sight and lavender for smell, the residents enjoyed exploring these and using all of their senses to do this.
