Providing peace of mind for family and residents

At Brooklands, nothing makes us happier than hearing that we have given a family back their peace of mind, knowing that their loved one is safe and happy.  In order to give the best possible care, we use a variety of ways to regularly gather feedback from our residents and those closest to them. We listen intently to our residents and their families in our anonymous annual survey. Their feedback is deeply valued and used to continually improve our service.

This is the heartwarming response to our 2021 survey.

Compassionate, personalised care

Our skilled and experienced team receives on-going training and support in order to provide the quality, compassionate care that our residents deserve. So we were delighted that 100% of residents feel staff know their needs and preferences well. 100% of both residents and their families agree that our team is capable of providing the care they need. One resident told us: “Staff are beyond exemplary, nothing is too much trouble. The care, support, cleanliness and hygiene is second to none!”

Kindness, dignity and respect

100% of both residents and family members agree that residents are treated with kindness and compassion, dignity and respect, while 100% of residents said they would recommend Brooklands to a friend. One family member noted: “Excellent caring staff with hearts of gold. I couldn’t wish for better care for my auntie.”

A happy home

Our vibrant home allows residents to enjoy bespoke lifestyle choices that encourage meaningful connections and friendships, which 94% of residents agreed makes our home a happy place. One family member told us “Every time I visit I feel so grateful to have my dad living in this fantastic nursing home. It’s a great comfort to know dad is safe and well cared for. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Brooklands.”

Safety during Covid-19

Throughout Covid-19, our priority and commitment has been to keep our residents and team safe and families updated regularly, so we are delighted that 100% of residents feel our team members have done all they can to keep them safe during the pandemic. While 9 out of 10 family members agreed that staff have supported them to maintain relationships with residents via various means of communication.

One family member said: “I am very happy with the excellent care, compassion and support that all staff give to my mother. So pleased that she has been safe and well cared for during the pandemic.”
