We believe that understanding how we are doing, means listening, reflecting, and hearing your views. Each year, we run a survey with our residents and families to hear directly from them: what we are getting right, and where there is room to grow. This allows us to keep improving and innovating, so we can continue delivering the highest standards of care our residents deserve. We are pleased to share the findings from our latest surveys.
What Our Residents Say
The feedback from residents in our latest survey at Brooklands paints a warm and happy picture of a home where people feel content and well cared for. Every resident told us they are happy with the care and support they receive, 10 out of 10 said they are supported to maintain their independence, and residents told us they are able to spend their time as they choose, doing the things they enjoy.
The home has a real family feel, and this comes through clearly in residents’ own words, with one sharing, “I like the staff and it feels homely, everyone is friendly and smiling,” and another telling us, “I’m enjoying this place, the atmosphere is nice and I’m enjoying my food, it’s really nice.”
Every resident confirmed the home is clean, tidy and well looked after, a reflection of a home where people feel supported and truly at home.
What Our Families Say
Families at Brooklands were full of praise in our latest survey. Every relative agreed that the quality of care their loved one receives is of the highest standard, and 100% confirmed the team treats their relative with respect, maintaining their dignity and privacy at all times.
Every family said the home feels like a happy place to live, and relatives told us the home and gardens are well maintained and that activities are varied and welcoming, encouraging families to take part alongside their loved ones.
The depth of gratitude from families was clear, with one telling us, “The standard of care and compassion is excellent,” and another sharing movingly, “Your staff are so caring and considerate, never rushing and always explaining what is happening. I cannot thank them enough.”
With 9 out of 10 relatives rating the laundry service as good, it is clear that at Brooklands, every detail of daily life is attended to with care.
