🌟 Residents Meeting Update! 🌟 This morning, we held our monthly Residents Meeting, led by our Home Manager, Helen. It’s always a fantastic occasion to discuss important issues, share ideas on how we can make Brooklands Care Home even better, and, of course, plan future trips and activities! 🚌✨ We covered everything from the types of meals we enjoy most 🍽️ to ways we can improve our facilities. As the saying goes, A happy home is built on shared thoughts and ideas. We believe in listening to our residents to ensure everyone feels heard and valued. A huge thank you to everyone who participated today! 🙏 We hold these meetings regularly, once a month, so theres always an opportunity to bring new ideas and feedback. 🌟 **A Day of Support and Joy at Brooklands Care Home** 🌟 This morning, we had the privilege of hosting a valuable presentation from the Samaritans. The gentleman who visited us provided great insight into what the Samaritans do as an organisation and shared helpful advice on seeking support when feeling under pressure in various situations. He also offered practical tips on managing stress and coping with life’s challenges. We had a wonderful audience, including our staff, who found the presentation to be incredibly helpful for both mental well-being and general health. In the afternoon, we were delighted to welcome back the amazing Julie Bunn! 🎶 As always, she brought a lot of fun and joy with her fantastic covers of popular songs—our residents absolute favourites! It was a truly fun-filled experience that lifted everyone’s spirits. Thank you to both the Samaritans and Julie for making today such a special day! 💙✨

🌟 Smoothie-Making Fun at Brooklands Care Home!🌟 This afternoon, our residents got hands-on with another delightful episode of smoothie-making! 🥤🍌🍐🍎🍇 Everyone did a fantastic job cutting up the fresh ingredients and loading them into the blender. We blended together bananas, pears, apples, grapes, honey, and a splash of lemon for a delicious and nutritious smoothie—packed with vitamins and electrolytes! 🍯🍋 It was a wonderful social afternoon full of laughter, smiles, and teamwork as we crafted the perfect smoothie together. Cheers to another fun and healthy activity at Brooklands! 🥂😊 #HealthyLiving #BrooklandsCareHome #SmoothieTime

Social Care Covid Hero Award Recognition

There were celebrations all round recently when we were presented with the Great British Care Awards’ regional Social Care Covid Hero award at a prestigious awards ceremony in London.
